Gray 30th Street Station
Station History
Located in Philadelphia's University City neighborhood, the Gray 30th Street Station is one of the busiest intercity passenger railroad facilities in the United States, and is Pennsylvania’s busiest intermodal station serving Amtrak, SEPTA, and NJ TRANSIT. The building, which first opened in 1933, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and currently provides service to millions of customers annually. To commemorate Congressman William H. Gray III’s lifelong commitment and service to the United States and to international human rights, Congress passed legislation in 2014 to rename 30th Street Station in his honor as “William H. Gray III 30th Street Station.”
