PHILADELPHIA - A new era of passenger rail has officially launched in Philadelphia. Amtrak officials gathered today with federal, state and local representatives along with other community leaders to celebrate the construction kickoff for major renovations at William H. Gray III 30th Street Station in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA – Amtrak is expanding its celebrated year-round, public art program to William H. Gray III 30th Street Station with work by local visual artist, Adam Crawford, entitled Euphonic & Chromatic Drift. This large-scale vinyl mural will grace the window facades on both the East and West ends of the transportation hub.

PHILADELPHIA - Amtrak and Plenary Infrastructure Philadelphia (PIP) have reached financial close on a lease and development agreement for the restoration and renovation of the William H. Gray III 30th Street Station. Under the agreement, PIP will refurbish and improve the historic building, finance those improvements and maintain the station for a 50-year term.
